this is a super quick sketch i did last saturday during the class. i would like to some day make more loose drawings+watercolors, a-la-Casey Toussaint, hahaha. I admire her work very much.
Hola, Martín, me gustan tus dibujos y pienso que tienes un blog muy interesante. Los blogs que más me interesan también son los blogs de Casey, de Laura Frankstone y de "muddy Red Shoes". Muchos saludos, Claudia
Martin- I think this is better than what I do. So much character in this! How long of a pose was it? In our actual life class, I feel like I don't have the time to apply the washes correctly. I love the face.
thanks for all your kind comments, it's very very encouraging for me to find that other like what i do, cause i'm not always glad with my results. Actually i'm not taking life drawing classes; i assist a teacher in these workshops, so in the higher level the students don't need our help all the time, then i try to do some sketches from the model posing for them. as i never know when i have to stop, i work as quickly as i can; in this case it must have been 5 minutes or less to "complete" it i guess. while the real pose for them was for about 30 minutes, but i cannot sit there and draw all the time, i'm not being payed for that, hahaha.

I don't do much life drawing but this looks fairly loose to me. Very nice gresture. I like the added watercolor.

This is a lovely loose sketch. Looks like you've got the hang of it!

This is wonderfully loose. But, Casey is a painter worth trying to emulate. Just love this!
It's wonderful Martin.
