this is a portrait of my studio partner. i made this sketch after a photo she was taken last sunday. i used pencil and added some details with the digital pen in paint shop pro.

i put the kettle on the table and my father didn't noticed and dropped it. i had a piece of grey board on the table next to it so it got wet. i lifted it up and there was this "blot" ( I don't don't the word, spot?) that water made to the board. it was fun to see the image that was formed at random. i tried to scan it before it dissapeared.

a new mirror + me alone at the studio= self portrait. only an hour to do it. the ressults are at sight. when i come back i'll need to retouch some parts. mouth, eyebrows, nose, chin, ears, hair, cheeks, shoulders, clothing, background, and... i think some white gesso throughout the surface would do perfectly, two layers will be enough, mmm, 3 perhaps...?

a selfpotrait. a puzzle. mixed media on wood. pencil. acrylics. digital. i like to combine handcraft with digital media. later i will post the portrait as i still want to do some details, but i liked how this looks like this. sometimes i need to see how it looks in the computer, digitally retouch to later try it on the real one.

could this be  EDM challenge #56 - Draw a self portrait? I don't think so. I'll complete that challenge later.

I still have to finish some details and even darken it all, here I've darkened it a little digitally so this is how it's should look after that dark layer.
